Re: Gloss black IROC-Z attacked by a rotary..

If you finished that with a rotary that is impressive.

    Re: Hercules forced rotation polisher...

A detailers hall of fame? That seems a little silly to me. So many of those hall of fames end up just being a marketing exercise of sorts.
  3. Re: So what's the replacement for Turtle Wax Tire Coat?

I like the Adam's Graphene better than the TW Acrylic Ceramic. It's easier to apply evenly. It's not a coating but it is pretty durable.

Re: The Camaro is dead! Long live the Camaro

The 6 gen is a nicer looking car than the 5th gen

Re: Collinite 845 Insulator Wax Review

If you set 845 out in the sun for a while before using it, it will thin out considerably.
  6. Re: Anything new or worth considering LSP wise for 2024?

Quadphene will be the next greatest product. 4X better than ceramic coatings.

    Re: Leather protectant suggestions

Chemical Guys Leather Serum is nice. Leaves a matte finish and isn't greasy.

    Re: Dry Leather Seats?

You could try Leather Honey. It seems to soften old leather.
  10. Re: Questions about Clear Coat Failure…Is it inevitable?

Inevitable, yes. Now what the timeframe is varies according to different factors. I've seen pics of show cars stored in climate controlled storage with paint failure.
  11. Re: You Can't Make This Up-Top Secret Dashboard Cleaner

I prefer the smell of peanut oil
  12. Re: Which product do you still use by Chemical Guys?

CG Leather Serum seems to be a good product.

Re: Products Similar To Zaino Z5

I've never really seen any filling ability with Z5. It does darken the paint slightly and I prefer the look to Z2. it's still a good product. Wolfgang is nice if you want to try something different.
  14. Re: Drive it or preserve it? Your thoughts on rare vehicle preservation.

I was at the track a few years ago. There was a guy with a 65 or 66 Mustang. I looked and it was a K Code. The guy pulled the original engine and was enjoying the car.
  15. Re: How to restore matte black finish to hard tonneau cover?

I'd think the longest lasting option would be to use a black paint designed for plastic.

Re: Clear coat failure, is this how it starts?

I'd say that the majority of cars that sit outside will have some clearcoat failure by 15 years.
  17. Re: Salt brine dissolving/neutralizing options for those that can only do rinseless washes

The best thing to do is spray off at a coin op after every snow storm.
  18. Re: what is the best finishing polish "hands down" in your opinion???

Technically an AIO would be considered a finishing polish as well. Several of those are well regarded for standard paint. That would make more sense than a dedicated finishing polish in a lot of...

Re: Discolored Roof After Vinyl Wrap Removal

Is the paint smooth to the touch or rough? If it is a stain, the best option would be to rewrap it.

    Re: Preferred Plastic Polish

If it's really fine scratches a motorcycle plastic polish would be a good choice. Those are used for windscreens and should provide clarity.

Re: I thought my carpets were fairly clean…

I did some service work in a dog food plant years ago. It was the most foul smelling place I've ever been.

    Re: WWYD : Ivory Interior

If there is a question about it, then lean toward the side of caution and don't put a coating on it.

    Re: Your favourite smelling products?

I just used this yesterday. Smells great. It leaves the seats a bit on the slippery side though. I wonder if Sal has licensed this to other companies to manufacture.
  25. Re: AutoFiber Scrub Ninja - Anyone use it -long term-

Colorbond would help that steering wheel.
