    Will it buff?

My audi is mostly gray, and has pretty moderate to hard point. There are a few sections of gloss black though that are extremely tough.

The front bumper section has only seen 4k miles but has been...

Re: Recommend me a new product line to use

I have used the cutmax before. And while I can argue with starting soft and working backwards, my suspicion is you'd probably land at LC orange, which is exactly what I ended up using. If you've used...

Re: Recommend me a new product line to use

I'd go cutmax and the np 3/6 and just adjust pads accordingly. I can't imagine there much those two wouldn't handle.

Re: Recommend me a new product line to use

What's the condition of the paint you are applying to, I. E. Scratches , hazing, etc? Is it hard/soft? Are you looking to do a 2 step for sure?

Re: Recommend me a new product line to use

Love to see some impressions on the sonax stuff, so I will selfishly suggest that.
  7. My review of Fg400 paint correcting a low mileage audi, and a follow up question.

Good morning AG community. Just wanted to provide my take on a recent paint correction to my 2018 audi TT in grey. The vehicle only had 4k miles on it but had some hard water spots, some swirling,...

Re: Stubborn Scratch resisting menzerna 400

Yeah this car was an audi executive lease. Low miles, but I think the owner was well aware it was getting turned in. I aftually think the majority of the scratches are from car was tunnels.

    I am...

I appreciate that insight, wasn't aware of that. I think I will leave well enough alone.

Re: Stubborn Scratch resisting menzerna 400

I am indeed very OCD, but not to a fault. I recognize that I am the only person that will ever see this and only under my bright shop lights. Wish I had a paint depth Guage.... *shifty eyes*

    Stubborn Scratch resisting menzerna 400

Afternoon AG. Looking for a recommendation here. I am detailing my new (to me) nardo grey audi. I've got a handful of very light scratches that don't appear to be through the clear coat. This area...
  12. Re: Opti Gloss vs Wolgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

Thanks Dan! I had actually sort of forgot I forgot I had it, but about 6 months ago I coated a the wheels on my SUV with it after a fresh powdercoat. Last weekend I was washing both the SUV and my...
  13. Re: Opti Gloss vs Wolgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

I appreciate all the great stuff guys. Been drowning myself in YouTube reviews of many of the products mentioned and doing lots of reading. I think I'm going to give opti-gloss a try first since I...
  14. Re: Opti Gloss vs Wolgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

Apologies. I may not be using the correct vernacular when I say "coating". What I mean is a product to bead water, and repel the dirt/grime/salt that we see here on a regular basis and make my...
  15. Re: Opti Gloss vs Wolgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

Yes, looking for a coating. Something to produce some gloss/slickness and repel the elements.

Well aware that neither will prevent rock chips, but I am 'thinking' that opti gloss would help to...
  16. Opti Gloss vs Wolgang Deep Gloss Paint Sealant

Happy holidays all. I've just purchased a new to me audi tt-rs in nardo grey. The paint is in very reasonable condition with just under 3k miles on it, although there are 3 very small rock chips I...
  17. Re: How to use Meguiar's Unigrit Sanding Blocks to remove runs and dirt nibs in paint

Really appreciate the quick response Mike.

Is the unigrit block abrasive through-and-through, or is it only the surfaces? I.e. If I were to shape one of the corners into more of a "nub" to get...
  18. Re: How to use Meguiar's Unigrit Sanding Blocks to remove runs and dirt nibs in paint

Mike, appreciate the how-to on this.

I just bought the 1500 and 2k for a paint chip repair I am attempting. I anticipate the repair will end up a little taller than the oe paint... Any...
