    Re: Best tire dressings?

I think you guys missed my post #23

I've surgically cleaned by tires per Mike's recommendation. Starting with Mothers Contoured Tire Brush (very stiff bristles), followed by a similar carpet...

    Re: Best tire dressings?

First picture exhibits a perfect glossy finish. My expectation from Griot's Long-Lasting Tire Dressing to last at least half-life of advertised durability, up to 12 weeks.
    Second picture is the...

    Re: Best tire dressings?

Per Mike's recommendation, don't apply Tuf Shine Clearcoat, unless your tire is brand new.

    Re: Best tire dressings?

Has anyone put Meguiars Endurance High Gloss Tire Gel to the test, next to Griot's Long-Lasting Tire Dressing?
If so, I'd like to hear your experience when it comes to longevity, especially during...
  5. Re: Recommend me some tire cleaners that won't brown my tires please!

Good to know. I recently found out about Tuff Shine cleaner . I've had amazing result with Griot's Rubber Prep.
Have you had better result with Tuff Shine cleaner ? Is it worth to add it to the...
  6. Re: Is Anyone Else Tired of All the Ceramic Pile-Ons?

Most of you must have heard or seen the new Griot's ceramic 3-in-1 (e.g. hydrophobic polymers, SiO2, carnauba) at SEMA. I just watched the video where Nick made the statement how this spray-on LSP is...

Re: iK foam pro 12 quick review

How long does it last once fully pressurized? Few minutes to do a full car?
  8. Re: Xtrafluff orange microfiber wash mitt, awesome value.

I like the fact that Meguiars X3002 Wash Mitt is white. Visually, it has shorter fibers compared to XtraFluff Orange Microfiber Wash Mitt. Could we assume that shorter fibers will stay less...
  9. Re: Looking for a carwash soap that DOESN'T have wax in it, sell me on YOUR favorite!

Cost and extra effort aside, sound like a ~ 5 minutes pre-soak is the preferred method before physical contact.
    If time permits:
    1) Pre-soak with foam gun to gently loosen, lifts, encapsulates, and...
  10. Re: Xtrafluff orange microfiber wash mitt, awesome value.

XtraFluff Orange Microfiber Wash Mitt seem to perform better than Micro-Chenille Wash Mitt.
It's not as heavy when wet and it holds more suds. However, it's more effort to keep it uncontaminated.

Re: Lets talk about Iron Removers

Negative. That's not what folks at Griot's Garage are saying. They said, if I choose to use their Fine Surface Prep Mitt, there's no need for Iron & Fallout Remover. I don't see how these are...

Re: Lets talk about Iron Removers

I reached out to Griot's Garage about Iron & Fallout Remover.Their reply wasn't what I expected.

    Re: Iron/Fallout Removers?

Have you had a chance to compare your Griots Garage Iron & Fallout Remover and CarPro Iron X?
  15. Re: Looking for a carwash soap that DOESN'T have wax in it, sell me on YOUR favorite!

Based on my understanding, any additives (e.g. polymers, carnauba, conditioning agents, gloss enhancing ingredients) are irrelevant for foam gun.
None of these are effective with ~5 minutes...

  17. Re: Looking for a carwash soap that DOESN'T have wax in it, sell me on YOUR favorite!

I hear you. Griot's Garage got it down. Why other manufacturers fail to present such simplicity to potential customers? Chemical Guys website is a total disaster.

  18. Re: Looking for a carwash soap that DOESN'T have wax in it, sell me on YOUR favorite!

Could CG HoneyDew harm LSP with it's gloss enhancers just by pre-soaking with foam gun?
I was thinking Meguiars D110 Hyper-Wash for 2 buckets wash and CG HoneyDew only for pre-soaking to yield...

    Re: So Chemical Guys Eh?

I was just looking at their Foam Blaster 6 & Honeydew Snow Foam (16oz) kit for $55. Is there a similar product that can produce slew of suds? Looks like their Foam Blaster 6 is no different than AG,...

Re: Review: The Big Blue Drying Towel

Is it really thicker? After all Griots Garage PFM Terry Weave is 1120 GSM and Big Blue Drying Towel is 1200 GSM

  21. Re: How does my product list and order look for detailing my car?

Re: Review: The Big Blue Drying Towel

Does Big Blue Drying Towel absorb more water because it's much heavier (e.g. 1200 g/m2) compared to Guzzler Waffle Weave (e.g. 350 g/m2)?
