With adding the test spot, your plan is sound. I keep Sonax Cutmax, Ex 04-06 on hand.

    Re: 2001 Trans Am WS6 - Resurrection

Thanks. Heat index has been 106 the past few days. Im waiting for the temp to cool down before getting back to work on it.
  3. Re: First time machine polishing - Product recommendations?

Griots G9 with their supporting pads and polishes are a good start. The issue is no one can give you a pad and polish combination that guaranteed to give you great results on your car. We don't...

    Re: 2001 Trans Am WS6 - Resurrection

The top dash pad is on the list! Typical door panel cracks are present, might do a mechanical fix and wrap in vinyl or leather.

    The dash cleaned up nice!

    Re: 2001 Trans Am WS6 - Resurrection

That's all for today's work. Im getting a jump start on detailing while waiting on parts to rebuild the fuel system and preparing the car to start for the first time in 7 years.

    Re: 2001 Trans Am WS6 - Resurrection

I hope the line of scrubbed residue removed shows up in the picture. The whole car is covered with the black specs. I used a foam bug remover sponge and a foam gun on the garden hose in the rain to...

    2001 Trans Am WS6 - Resurrection

Picked a 2001 Trans Am WS6 for a new project. Car has sat for 7 years and will require more than detailing. I will keep the mechanics of the resurrection off the forum, or maybe you want to see that...

Besides the polish, what changed in the process to get the result desired?
  18. Re: The Car From Hell! 2014 Subaru Forester nightmare! Sticky Paint

I didn't believe BF One step would do what people said it would until I tried it in the 3 day class. I now keep some in my arsenal.

  19. Re: The Car From Hell! 2014 Subaru Forester nightmare! Sticky Paint

I had a similar situation on a repaint car with single stage black paint. Micro Marring to a haze and the residue was glued to the surface when using a Porter Cable. Switched to Sonax EX 04-06 with...
  20. Re: Winter Maintenance and Washing with Hot Water

Hot water on a cold windshield can break it. Melting snow off a windshield with hot water is a no-no.

Extreme, rapid changes to temperature on glass is not a good thing. I would limit the water...

Re: getting rid of a foggy look

Can you post a close up pic?

Could be a lot of different possibilities.
