It's the third one. Thanks for sending me the link. I have a pad cleaner and pad brush, just don't have access to compressed air to this particular job. Like I said, if I have to come back the...
hmmm... thank you for letting me know that. I guess I'll try to go out there Saturday and at least correct half the car. and if I run out of LC purple, I'll clean them that night and put a fan on...
Yes, I plan on finishing this car with the white thinpro polishing pad and CP reflect. I even have black pads as well but I think the white with its little cutting abilities will work great
We will see how it does on Saturday. I've been researching and talking to people who use reflect. I know it works well with very little product, 2-3 passes max and lower machine speeds.
Well finally got all of my supplies and started my first paint correction on a friends 98 silver C5 and it's going great. It was raining pretty hard on Saturday so we kept it inside and I spent most...
Also if some of the touch up paint/3000 grit sanding scratches are on the mirrors and you only have 5.5" pads, should you try to correct the mirrors with the polisher or just use an applicator pad...
After reading some threads by the man Milke Phillips himself, I've decided to order a 6 pack of Thin Pros from autogeek and go with that. 3 White and 3 Black. White for the TLC and black for the CP...
Ordered a lot of stuff and just received it in the mail. Just waiting to order the actual GG6 polisher and some pads. Now will I be okay with the LC HDO pads that I already have (yes I will be...
Still waiting on consistent warm weather here in misery (Missouri). Got the drag radials and new wheels that I coated on the car! Really cool seeing the water just fall right off. I'm very eager to...
So one last question, how would you guys suggest cleaning foam and microfiber pads by hand? As in, after a job and getting them ready for the next vehicle.
That's the plan. Have 2 different test panels and use the MF cut pad and the blue cut foam pad with the last cut and see what looks best. Then go over both with the orange polish pad w/ 3500 and see...
Thanks again for everyone's advice!! I'll update this thread as soon as it gets consistently warmer out. Getting the drag radials mounted on the new wheels this Saturday and then the cars getting...
From what I've seen, I believe the last cut will be everything that I need whether it be aggressive or not. It really does change with pad selection and is an incredible product. I've seen it remove...
I'm learning a lot from this thread. Glad I decided to post something on here. I think my game plan is to order all of my materials and go with the menzerna 3500 for polish. I'm going to do test...
So I noticed in the link you provided, this pad clogging and needing to swap to a new one, seems to only apply to foam. So if I start out with 4-6 of each foam I’m going to use and just 1 microfiber...
I already have The Last Cut compound and 2 edgeless 500 towels from the rag company for final wipe down. Along with Lake Country HDO 5.5" MF, Blue cutting foam, orange polishing foam pads. I've...
Appreciate all of the input! I'm convinced to go with the GG6 now instead of the maxshine and will be ordering griots 5in and 3in backing plates along with a set of 3.5" LC HDO pads. I know someone...
This will be my first. I may just say “screw it” and spend the money on a Rupes mark ii 15. Only thing in my possession is the ceramic coating, TLC and the 3 pads I listed off. I’m wanting to order...
The installer and dealer for diamond pro (owner of STL Auto Spa) recommened menzerna 3500. And yes the solvent he provided to me along with the coating is meant as a pre wipe before coating. Sounds...
Jayce from TLC said sometimes he finishes hard paint with the orange polishing pad and TLC and doesn’t need to use any polish at all. That could be another option for me but I’d still like to have a...
