  1. Re: PBL Diamond Wheel Coating on Bare Aluminum Protection on Aircraft

I believe weight is the prevailing issue at hand here with a CC.

For the record my plane is painted because I despise aluminum polishing [emoji28]

  2. PBL Diamond Wheel Coating on Bare Aluminum Protection on Aircraft

    Good Evening,

I am currently in polishing purgatory on my friends Zenith CH-601.

I stumbled across PLB Diamond Wheel Coating in one of Mikes online classes and thought this may be a massive...

    Re: Coronavirus - Covid-19 - Safe Detailing?

That's why I decided to not kick off the season yet. I set up my final semester of school so I could detail several days a week once weather hear in lovely Northwest Ohio broke. I made sure to do...

Re: American detailer garage (New line)

I love F-Bomb as an APC. I've seen rave reviews about their other products, just haven't moved enough inventory to justify buying it yet for fear of my health if the love of my life found more...

    Re: Coronavirus - Covid-19 - Safe Detailing?

Everyone, I'd like to emphasize extreme caution with detailing during this time, not only from a liability standpoint but from a health one as well. This virus spreads easy as it can be transmitted...

Re: Should I clean my undercarriage or no point

I spray and pray. Even aluminum is not impervious to corrosion. Airports are unsalted because salt will attack bare aluminum so keeping a car clean in winter is a good way to slow the oxidation...
  7. Re: How do you clean/dress tires in the winter? No hose.

I used the Mckee's Tire coating. I bought it here at AG. They have other reputable brands available still to buy from
  8. Re: If you could only use two or three product lines for all your detailing needs, what would you choose?

As a DIYer I'd have to go with Meguiars and McKee's I think. They each make up about 70% of my detailing supplies and the rest are odd and ends that do a better job than they can provide

  9. Re: How do you clean/dress tires in the winter? No hose.

I use N-914 from McKee's on a crap microfiber but I coated my tires. I really recommend using a tire coating as mine stay cleaner longer and with less work!

    Re: Leather dye. Recommendations.

How far are you willing to go? If you're dealing with pigmented leather the best way is to strip the seat, rehydrate the leather, and then redye it then put a "clear coat" on it for a factory finish...

When I left Volk Field this summer, I grabbed four cases of cow to try and last until my next TDY there this coming summer

    Re: 90 Day Cure

I'd stick with the 90 day rule. You should be able to find out the last day of painting and start the clock from there. I only know one guy in Michigan that will bake a plane for you after painting...

  24. Re: Discerning Paint Chip Touch-Up; Not for Everyone or Every Chip

One tip I found from Larry at Ammo was to put carnuba around the chips and clean inside the chips (I use sandpaper attached to a pencil eraser) then use an IPA dabbed in the chip. The carnuba...

I second the PPF idea on the interior console. I may do that in my car as I have a 2 year old (may as well get ahead of the curve).
