  1. Re: IronX, et al - is it the real deal or just a fad?

I used iron-x on my 6 month old 2018 and saw literally nothing happen. No purple, no change. I guess that means I don't have any iron contamination.

It does smell like death but if you use it...

    Re: Quick review Meguiar's Hyper-Wash

I think if you have fairly high water pressure, the hose versions can be good. I live on a hill and the city water pressure is weak. Either way, you will not regret getting the one for your...

    Re: IPA confusion ??

There's a good thread that you can search for where Mike Phillips advocates for a weaker (10-20%) IPA mix than the 50/50 or higher that some people use. I personally feel better about using a...

    Re: Quick review Meguiar's Hyper-Wash

I don't think it is sold anywhere in a smaller size. I can say that everyone seems to love it, especially considering the price and the dilution ratio. It works great for me and I love that I can...

Seconding the 1 oz pump for easy dispensing and measuring. What dilution ratio is adequate in a foam cannon?
  10. Re: need advice on wax/spray waxes for weekly washes, new to all this

I'm not trying to sound snarky, but at that dilution, what is the ONR even doing? Is it necessary?

I don't have the experience to properly answer your question, but I would think this is ideally what you want. I had a similar experience recently and just figured "it's a new car, garage kept, and...

    Re: Cobra Guzzler 16x24

Great! I know others here have said they use them dry, but I've always wet mine before using. Like, literally spray them with the hose and wring them out. It's for this reason that I only need...

    Re: Cobra Guzzler 16x24

Are you wetting those towels before drying the car? They should be wet/very damp before touching paint, and this also "primes" the towel so that it will absorb better.

    I use Meguiar's D156 as a...

Re: Need Help w/ Interior Protectant

303 is great for interiors, just remember that it needs to be applied, and then buffed well with a dry microfiber to remove excess. It's not something that you should wipe on and leave, as this will...

After doing some research, I'm surprised this isn't a more-highly recommended solution. I discovered that I can wet a cheap cotton beach towel or two in water or wash solution, and drape over the...
  16. Re: need advice on wax/spray waxes for weekly washes, new to all this

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Meguiar's D156 spray wax yet. It's as easy as any spray wax, and affordable. It also goes great over 845.

  19. Re: Questions regarding FK1000P application and removal

I didn't see the post on Autopia but I am pretty sure "Accumulator", who is generally very active there, is a big fan/proponent of FK1000P. Hopefully he'll comment, or you might message him.
  20. Re: Disappointed with collinite 845. All hazy! Any advice?

I agree with the others who said that something under the Collinite might be the issue - either the Dawn, glaze, etc. I have not been using 845 long but I always do an IPA wipedown and a paint...

    Re: Microfiber detergent

I wish I had found this thread before buying a MF detergent that costs as much as Towel Kleen, except for a quart instead of a gallon :)
  22. Re: Looking for a reasonably priced foam cannon soap...

I would say so. I foamed a large pickup truck with about 2 oz, so that's 64+ washes from one gallon. It's good stuff in my opinion.
  23. Re: What QD/spray sealant to use after wash to help LSP and water spots?

Pretty much everywhere I look I see Meguiar's D156 express spray wax mentioned. I've got some arriving this week to try out.
