    Re: Liability insurance

That’s the problem. No one local or even my day to day insurance carrier seems to know anything about it.

    Liability insurance

I’m looking to get liability insurance. It’s mostly for doing airplanes. The business I’m looking to do work for is requiring 10million coverage. What/who are you guys using for liability insurance?...

Re: Door jamb protection - longer term options...

I use Reload or Elixer usually. Seems to work fine. And lasts for ever when you use it each time you wash. Lol.

Re: CarPro Essence Plus on Uncoated Paint

I’ve been using Essence and Plus combo for over 2 years now as my go to base light polish and sealant. I get consistent 12 months on daily drivers in Michigan. It’s a solid performer for me.

Re: Sonus Motorkote for undercarriage protection?

Salt away does not provide any protection. It’s a cleaner and neutralizer. Been using it for years.

Re: Sonus Motorkote for undercarriage protection?

Fluid film for protection and Salt Away for neutralizing and cleaning the salt off in the spring. Been doing that for 20 plus years. Living in Michigan its what you have to do to make a vehicle...

    Microfiber pads for the 3401

I did my brothers tundra a few months ago. About the same as that last pic. One stage of clear cut did wonders. I used Lake Country micro fibers in my Boss 21. Love them. Cut and finish great....

Re: Does anyone routinely do underbody wash/detail?

I do my vehicles twice a year. They all get degreased, sprayed and soaked with Salt Away and then coated with Fluid Film. As I live in the rust belt it’s needed to keep vehicles going without rusting...

Re: Need advice to remove 2000 grit sanding marks

After doing tons of sanding, I’ve found that the type/quality of sandpaper makes a huge difference. We use the Rupes dry sanding system now. Have gone away from wet sanding. When we get pig tails...

    Re: Carpro triple threat

Exactly my thoughts. I have been getting the same results and my customers I’ve used the essence twins on love it. I’ve done a couple airplanes with it also with same results.

Re: How to eliminate squeaking windows???

My bet is the window run channels need replaced. Probably done about 300 of them Over the years working in dealers. If you look carefully, they might be worn thin from the edge of the window cutting...

Don’t look any farther than fluid film. Used it for years. It’s been proven for a long time.

    Re: These are the twins!

It’s a ParkZone RC Corsair. I have a basement full of different planes. Still a kid I guess. The Corsair I keep in the garage. It’s my go to plane for throwing in the back of the 4Runner.

    Re: These are the twins!

105 and 205 have been my go to for years. Recently I switched to CarPro Clear Cut. It replaces the 105 perfectly. But it finishes much better and less dust. I have some small bottles of Griots...

  18. Re: Essence polish staining plastic or rubber trim?

I did use it on the painted kinda flat back door pillars also. It works good on the flat painted stuff. I haven’t had any negative effects yet on plastics and trim. I’m sure some heavily textured...
  19. Re: Essence polish staining plastic or rubber trim?

I use Essense a lot on plastic trim. Mirrors and such. Seems to work great. Then I’ll top it with Essense Plus or ceramic. Here is a tundra I did last week. Al the 10 year old black trim was white...

  21. Re: Not just a C4 Corvette. A 1990 ZR1 gets pampered and coated!

  22. Re: How long to allow new car paint to cure before coating?

I coat a lot of airplanes with paint less than a week old. Modern paints “gas” off much quicker than old. We have never seen an issue in 20 years of painting by applying wax, sealants or coatings on...

    Re: Best of both worlds

You can not go wrong with M105/205 combo. Been using it for years. Recently switched to Clearcut Then the Essence twins to finish. Only problem with M105 is the dust. But they work great.

Re: WACO YMF-5 Bi-Plane detailed with BLACKFIRE

That’s awesome! I do a lot of aircraft detailing. It’s tedious and hard work. Nothing like doing automotive. Gotta be so careful with them.
