    Re: DFB's Garage

That brings back some memories, packing parts at my last job, engine gasket kits and window rain visor sets were the worst for getting bent or snapped. We started keeping the cardboard that came off...

    Re: From "stay tuned" to T U N E D !!

No worries Roger, I was just surprised at the parts guys who had no idea how to get a part number without a valid Australian VIN. Most parts guys I've dealt with have been GM Holden, and they were...

    Re: Gimmie your two cents.

I never thought of using ONR in the rinse bucket, but it makes sense, thanks. How else was I going to use up the half gallon of ONR I have left, now that I've switched to Ech2o for RW.

    Re: DFB's Garage

This popped up in my feed, I have to say I'm not a fan of the styling of either car, inside or out.

Also, don't look too closely at picture 39, why would they think that is a good shot.

I picked that colour because it "shows"it off, in black and dark metallics you almost can't tell how ugly it is. But those wheels are very nice.

Why would they do this, who signed off on this, they should be fired. Also, why are they stealing Hyundai's colours.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20240414/f4d14593a52256bae13b6f32db5b9b91.jpg

    Re: DFB's Garage

It's gotta be frustrating, as much from the not getting updates as the actual delays. I think you, or someone, may have said they are becoming the Ford Ranger company here, and don't care about...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

So are truck shows worse than car shows, for people touching, and I suppose climbing on, things that they shouldn't be?

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

A simple QD on the Qashqai today, used NV Boost V2, it was mainly dusty with a few dead bugs up front. Cleaned the glass with Carpro Clarify Phobic, I'm still surprised by the banana scent every time...

I decided to do a tyre rotation on the Qashqai today, and of course it's an opportunity to get inside the wheels. I've never actually taken the wheels off this vehicle before, but this is its second...

Re: What did you do today non-detailing related?

I found my best time at the Ring, a 6:59.879 in an 09 Corvette ZR1 RM (Race Modified). I've included a screen shot, damn, it was 12 years ago. What amazes me from the list is the 04 SS Commodore...

Re: What did you do today, in regards to detailing?

I thought I'd spruce up the bullbar a bit, I had some leftover Reset in my bucket from washing my brother's Outlander a couple of weeks ago. Once dry I thought I'd put some Collinite 845 on it. The...

Re: what's your weather currently like?

Australia is not known for earthquakes, but we had a biggish one back in December 1989. It hit near Newcastle, on the east coast, about 15 miles from where I live now. But I lived in Sydney back...

I was a subscriber back then, so I probably have this article somewhere. And I would have read this at the time, as I loved doing laps of the Ring, in Gran Turismo. I can't remember what my record...
