    Re: Silver vs White

I am looking at Ram's Billet Silver Metallic, and it does appear to have a fair bit of metallic in it... not sure if one can make it pop though, but then again that may just be over rated...

    Griot's Fabric Protectant vs others

Just wondering if anybody has experience with GG Fabric protectant. Have searched the forum and found quite a bit of praise for Ultima fabric Guard as well as 303 Fabric guard, although that one does...

Re: Recommendations for new car products

So you would consider Collinite 845 to be in the same league as a sealant more so than a wax?

Re: Best Brand Top to Bottom

As is 3D degreasers, no harsh smell, and very effective cleaning. The one I am most familiar with is the Orange Citrus Degreaser 109. My wife keeps stealing it from me for cleaning certain things...

Re: Microfibre drying cloths lose their ability?

We dont use fabric softener, not even with our everyday clothes. We use vinegar now, havent used fabric softener in years.
But yes , I do wash the PFM's with the other microfibre cloths, so they...

Re: Microfibre drying cloths lose their ability?

No drying aids or spray waxes used with these guys. I do use spray wax but have separate microfibres for that.

Microfibre drying cloths lose their ability?

I have a couple of GG PFM drying cloths, they work very well, but have been around a while and seen lots of use. I always wash microfibre towels by themselves and my go to detergent for cleaning them...

Re: Pre mixed 50:1 2-cycle fuel.

I agree.....it's expensive relative to ethanol free fuel at the pump, but for the amount you burn in a season in many of these small engines, it's worth it.

    Re: 3D Orange 88 degreaser.

I agree...started using it about 2 years ago based on the recommendation from someone in the forum here. Wonderful product! I also buy by the gallon now. My wife tried it on some household items she...

Re: Should I Purchase a Jet Black Metallic Car ?

Very nice black car, no doubt when clean, black rules, but it's the in between that gets aggravating! I am still trying to figure out why you included a picture of your bikes though! :buffing:......
  17. Re: School me on using a windshield treatment like aquapel, and longevity of wiper blades

  19. Re: School me on using a windshield treatment like aquapel, and longevity of wiper blades

Just like you, I hate the idea of using paper towel to buff off the Aquapel. I tried mf towels but they seemed to lint too much when using them with Aquapel, yet when used on their own, they don't...

    Re: Lowes ONR grout sponge...

and as a first post to boot!
  21. Re: School me on using a windshield treatment like aquapel, and longevity of wiper blades

wipe it down and walk away, well you probably want to give the blade a good cleaning first. But the 303 is simply wiped on, no soaking involved.
  22. Re: School me on using a windshield treatment like aquapel, and longevity of wiper blades

I agree with Rick in Texas...Aerospace 303 on your blades would be wise. I use it on plastic parts and decals on our RV, great product!
  23. Re: School me on using a windshield treatment like aquapel, and longevity of wiper blades

I tend to agree with you. The UV rays from the sun in your climate will still do harm to the blades. Where I live it rains or snows often, so wipers get a lot of use, and get changed at least...
