    Re: Mystery boxes!

This mystery box does not equal the state value of $198.94.

Also, why include boat cleaner wax in a mystery box?!?!? How many people actually have boats? As opposed to how many of your customers HAVE CARS?!?!?

    MEGUIARS D4510 $7.99
    DISPENSER BOTTLES 3 PACK $7.99
    CARRAND TIRE BRUSH $7.99
    DURAGLOSS 265 $8.99
    XENIT FOAMING $5.99
    COLLINITE FLEETWAX $19.99
    BLACKFIRE APC $24.99
    POORBOYS WHEEL SEALANT $19.99
    XL MF APPLICATOR $4.99
    1 EASY GRIP APPLICATOR $4.99
    1 GREY TOWEL $2.99
1 PINK TOWEL INTERIOR CLOTH $2.99

    TOTAL RETAIL VALUE $119.88

    I'm pissed!

Thanks for the heads up. Paying retail price for stuff you don't really want. Hope they send you something nice to make up for the shortfall. Won't even consider purchasing a Mystery Box in the future

It's a shame because i have great mystery box experiences with other companies. AG has so many products I expected them to put together a great MB! Adam's and even Chemical Guys do really nice boxes that are a great value.

    Re: Mystery boxes!

I love the XL MF applicator, and I have wanted to try D4510. Duragloss and Stoner are always good. But I don't have ANY use for boat cleaner wax. And I am not thrilled with a $25 bottle of APC that is not concentrate.

AND the Duragloss Ultimate Detail Spray is actually for trim amd tires so they sent me 2 products (D4510 also) for the same thing- rubber and trim restoration.

    Re: Mystery boxes!

Here's the response from customer service, VERY QUICKLY, I must add:

    "Kirk,

Our sincerest apologies. Your mystery box is missing extra towels and all of the items were supposed to be shipped in a detail bag. We will have those missing items shipped out immediately and we will include a replacement for the fleetwax. We’re very sorry for the inconvenience and disappointment and hope to..."

So a detail bag would make a pretty big difference, probably $50, and I am cool with a bag. Replacing the boat wax is good.

    Re: Mystery boxes!

Glad they're trying to make it right. But this is the reason I didn't order it. If the mystery boxes were branded, i.e., a Meguiar's mystery box, Chemical Guys mystery box, etc., then I'd be all over it. But getting overstocked, mismatched, or unusable items just kill the opportunity.

    Re: Mystery boxes!

The one and only time I tried a mystery box, I feel I got really lucky. I paid $50 for it, and after seeing so many others posting what they got, I wasn't exactly excited to get mine. I was floored though, when I realized mine was different. I got lucky! I ended up getting the Gyeon Maintenance Kit.
