    Rupes Mini or Flex 3401

I know they're two completely different machines but I was about to pull the trigger on a Rupes LHR-75e to go along with my LHR-21, and a few people suggested that I get a Flex 3401 so that I'd have the best of both worlds of forces rotation and long throw. I love my Bigfoot 21. It's buttery smooth and corrects paint very easily, but just can't fit in tight spots on my Mini Cooper. The roof around the sunroof and the bumpers are pretty tight and even with a 5" BP on the Rupes 21 I can't really do a good job on those areas. If I can buy just one, should I go with the Rupes Mini or Flex 3401? Thanks in advance.

Flex with the smaller backing plate will still not give the room to do,small areas. Look at the Mini from Rupes

That's what I thought. I just don't know too many people with a Mini to give me their thoughts on it.

Still kind of afraid of rotaries.

I have the PE8 and this is my 1st venture with a rotary. All I can say is GET IT!! The hologram issue with a rotary is a "MYTH" to me. I have not experienced any of those issues at all. The machine is awesome and is very smooth and quiet.

The issue I am having is compound/polish splatter. Since the Pads are so small 1" and 2" you have to be very aware of starting slow and then moving up to a higher speed.

I think anyone here on AGO will have no issues using a rotary and have any hologram issues. I think most are experienced enough to know to move the polisher.

I am very happy I got the PE8. I think most people when they try it will realize to have that in their arsenal.

I love my Rupes mini, it's super smooth.......

I also have the 15 and Duetto, I haven't picked up my 15 in a year, I love the Duetto and the mini, they get the job done and are so smooth and ergonomic.

Detailed my new Rogue that I picked up Saturday yesterday and did this 535i a couple weeks ago, both were done with my Duetto/Mini Combo.

I just finished polishing my entire car with the Mini. I know, 4" pads = precision buffing.

Do the Meg's MF cutting and finishing discs (3") work well on the Rupes Mini?
