I've done 2 cars with the Rupes now and I'm pleased with it. It is very smooth (smoother than the G15 by far) and other than being easily stalled it seems like a good tool. I'll probably add a washer to help with the stalling at some point.

Do you notice the same amount of stalling with the G15?

No. I posted my thoughts on the comparison of the G15 and LHR15 MKII on this forum elsewhere. The Griot's seemed to have a bit more power, but was much less refined in use. If I never used the Rupes I'm sure the Griots would have felt fine to me, but having both to compare made it clear which was the one I'll keep.
