Thats why I got rid of mine years ago. Remember when they called it "walking the dog"?

Re: Rupes Mille vs 3401 - UPDATED Thoughts

I've been using the Mille for around a year now & I see someone mentioned the backing plates, I too think for a standard machine to offer two backing plates & ones that are spot on in terms of ideal sizes is fantastic.

The Mille has a nice feel in hand, the handle, the trigger switch, the head grip, the weight, all feels good but for me at least - when working, the Mille feels a bit on the taller side. I find it more comfortable to cradle my hand around the housing underneath the head grip to combat the 'tallness'.

The RUPES Mille pads all feel great & work great or at least they have for me to date. I haven't really needed to experiment with any other pads so haven't any input there.

All in all its a nice machine - if I had to choose either the Mille or the Flex 3401 I would have to go with the Flex every time but until I'm forced to make that decision I'm gonna keep 'em all . . . Muahahaha Muahahaha Muahahaha.

Bought the Mille when first available, I think am going to sell it. Using my 3401 is almost second nature to me having so many hours on the machine, don't even notice any noticeable energy or walking using it, but do have hundreds of hours on the machine....so

Yes, I agree Fast Eddie - I don't class myself as 'old' just yet at 40, even though bits of me are worn, ragged & broken but on avaerage I'll have a 3401 in my hands for at LEAST 18-20 hours a week & I certainly never feel 'beaten up' or 'fatigued' doing so.

    Aaryn NZ.
I'll be 43 next month and I will say, took a couple weeks off for a vacation, detailing keeps me fit....I got fat eating good food and not working hard. It is a lot of work, but I am used to the hard work and love it.

Do you use the thicker or thinner Rupes yellow foam pads on the Mille?

Right, but have you tried the thicker yellow Rupes foam with the Mille?
