    Mille pad combos

I know this has been gone over a 100 times on here. I’m just wanting to know if anyone has tried the Rupes UHS system with the Mille. What are your thoughts on this combo with the Mille?

    Re: Mille pad combos

    Mille specific pads
    Or
    LC thinpros
    LC lambswool(foam inner layer)
    B&S Uro Wool(foam inner layer)
    Optima hyper wool(foam inner layer)
Pretty sure LC is also selling HDO wool pads with inner foam layers..ingot samples mailed to me like this at least

These will also work on the Makita PO5000C

    So cliff notes

These machines like Thin foam pads and wool needs to have a foam inner layer..regular wool or foamed wool will upset the machine balance and induce vibration.

Sorry I can't comment on the Rupes pads

    Re: Mille pad combos

Thanks for the info. I have a order on the way with the LC foam wool pads for the rotary. But it looks like I’ll have to put in another one for the HDO pads. I’ve seen a ton of post on here and other sites where everyone is using a lot of different combinations with the Mille. But I haven’t seen anyone using it with the UHS system. I am a fan of the UHS for one steps and have a Mille on pre order. In theory I would think this would be an excellent pairing with the Mille. Just curious why no one has tried/mentioned it yet.

I say give it a shot with the grey UHS pads and polishes!

Todd (Rupes) mentioned that he liked the UHS compound on the blue foam cutting pads. I've also used it on yellow with beautiful results.

    Re: Mille pad combos

I guess I’m going to have to try it to find out when the Mille gets here. It’s a good system. I didn’t know if there was some reason it wouldn’t go well with the Mille. I guess we’ll find out when it gets here.

Don’t have the Mille yet. I’m still waiting for the pre orders to be fulfilled. I was just curious about this combination before it arrives.

I’m still waiting. I think they get them in batches and send them out as they come in to the people who pre ordered first.
