LHR MKII Purchase and Pad Questions

I have been ready to upgrade my DA for quite some time now and finally ready to spring for a new Rupes. I have quite an investment in Wolfgang products and am not looking to purchasing the Rupes polishing creams. Will the Rupes pads work with the Wolfgang products or are they better (or solely) suited to the Rupes line of polishes? Or am I better off springing for the Lake Country HDO Orbital Foam Pads?

The Wolgang products should work fine with the Rupes pads. Mike always suggests starting with the whole system, but you have a lot invested so I would use what you have.

The only thing I recall is the post Dylan made in this thread about Menzerna polishes not playing well with the Rupes pads. See post 16 and 20. I suspect the polishes you have will work fine.

Disappointed in Rupes pads- input needed please

The HDO pads are nice and I have bought a couple of them to test out and they do vibrate a little more and throw the balance of a bit compared to the Rupes pads at least on my LHR 15 MKII. Still tolerable. The same goes for the Buff & Shine Urotec pads.

Don’t use solvent based polishes with Rupes pads.

As I recall based on this post form Dylan, Meguiar's polishes are ok. Although it only mentioned M105 and M205 as being ok. I would imagine that M100 and M101 share similar chemistry to M105. But who knows. I personally have not had issues when I used M205 on the Rupes pads.

    M105 & M205 are water based polishes, that's why he mentioned they're ok. I'm pretty sure M100 & 101 are solvent based.

My daughter recently purchased a 21 mark2 for me for Christmas. I have yet to use it. So i decided to buy some rupes pads and some hdo pads. When I hold the polisher in the air with the rupes pads I feel a little vibration. But with the hdo pads I feel 0 vibrations. 🤷🏽#♂️.
