UHS pads - is this normal?

I've had these about a year or more. I just noticed this over the weekend. I haven't used them much and my other Rupes pads do not do this.

I can press on the pad and the impression will stay for several minutes. The pad feels very dry - almost as if it going to crumble but doesn't. Honestly I've used them so little that I don't remember.

That's normal. It's like memory foam. They will soften up a little as they are used and the shape will go back to normal.

My BOSS pads do this to some degree, too. White and orange, especially.

The UHS pads certainly are some strange birds.
