Decided to dive in!
Any suggestions on buffers for a beginner? Kinda on a budget, thinking about the Meguiars buffer, will I be disappointed, should I wait and get something better? Also, what pads am I going to need to do a swirl removal thru waxing?

Re: Decided to dive in!
I would get a Porter Cable 7424 XP. There have been some threads recently about the G110 v2 and Griot's Garage 6 inch having some problems. Not saying either are a bad machine, but I would stick with the PC being it has worked for many countless times.
I would pick up an assortment of 5.5 inch pads. You will need to get a 5 inch backing plate as well. I prefer the Lake Country Flat pads. Get one yellow, two orange, two white, two black, and one blue and you'll be set.

Any of the PC style DA Polishers will work great and a lot better than by hand...
You'll see discussion threads on the topic of which brand polish is best and opinions vary a lot and the threads on this topic are endless.
Big picture is this, all the tools work and will get the job done, get some opinions and feedback from others on the forum and then pick one and go for it.
If you watch enough of the live broadcasts we've done and are doing, you'll see I tend to incorporate all of them into the project cars and encourage the people at these classes to give them all a try as that's the best way to see which one is best for them.
Regardless of which one you decide upon, my how-to book and videos show how to use all of them.

This is solid advice.
