    The master of holograms

I thought this photo was funny and wanted to post it.

Done with a rotary, D300 and a green pad.

    Enjoy!

did you do this? Or did someone else? I thought D300 was formulate specifically for the MF system and a DA polisher.

Same question as Alex, did you do this?

I thought holograms are only caused by wool. I didn't know foam can also cause holograms. Yikes.

Holograms are at their core scratches...

So ANYTHING that can cause a scratch when applied using a rotary buffer can leave holograms including any type of fiber pad and even foam pads.

    Re: The master of holograms

I'm guessing this was the coarse green pad? I've used D300 on foam pads with great success, but with a Flex and DA.

    Re: The master of holograms

This was CCS Green Polishing/Finishing Foam 4 Inch Pad with 1200rpm's. The clear was so soft .. the holograms were inflicted in no time. I find D300 to be very interesting compound, a bit milder then 105 but still powerful and has way more working time. Easier wipe off too.

As you know, holograms of this sort look horrible, but can be corrected easily with a DA.

I'll post more photos tonight; the plan for attack is - 3401, 50/50 of D301&205 and probably the same 4" soft pad.

It doesnt even look like the car wash washed.......much less any technique used when apply the d300.
