My New Flex PE 14-2 150 Rotary Buffer

My New Flex PE 14-2 150 Rotary Buffer

After SEMA, we packed everything up to be shipped back to Stuart, Florida including my new Flex PE 14-2 150 Rotary Buffer in box, wrapped up inside a pallet.

When Max and I returned from our commercial shoot, the pallets had been delivered and my new Flex PE 14-2 Rotary Buffer retrieved and placed on my desk.

    Here she is...

    The second production unit...

I love this rotary buffer, it's easily the quietest, lightest, best fit and finish rotary buffer I've ever used...

Thank you Bob Eichelberg, it really means a lot to me to have been given this new model by Flex North America.

I was hoping that you got a carbon fiber unit like Max when I saw the thread.

    Enjoy your new toy!

The stock finish will work better for actually buffing out cars... I'm not sure I could keep the high gloss Carbon Fiber finish on Max's Flex Rotary Buffer scratch and swirl-free...

I've been in a subtle panic mode the entire time it's been out of sight... it was quite a relief to find it on my desk when Max and I returned from a couple of days of shooting new TV commercials.

I didn't want to pack in my check-in luggage and the last time I tried to take my Makita Rotary Buffer onto Jet as a carry-on they refused to let me board with it stating,

    "the object is unwieldy"

    From theFreeDictionary.com

    unwieldy [ʌnˈwiːldɪ], unwieldly
    adj
    1. too heavy, large, or awkwardly shaped to be easily handled
    2. ungainly; clumsy

Just glad it's back my possession, safe and sound...

But the carbon fiber finish does have a certain cool factor, just like a race car...

    Definitley...

Maybe I can get a "body kit" for mine?

One set of skins for "Show and Shine" and one set of skins for serious work...

Hmmm... I'll have to call my friend Bob...
