    Meguiars mirror glaze number 1

Ok so I finally got a Flew 3401 and initially tried meguairs swirl remover (meguairs mirror glaze number 9) and It only got light swirls out so I went back and saw m105 for 26$ and m205$ for 20$ so instead I went with meguiars mirror glaze number 1 medium cut but it says only for use with rotaries. Would I still benefit timewise (3-4 passes)with the flex 3401 and a lake country orange pad w/megs#1 or should I return the product before opening it and get m105. Also I am looking to do a 2step correction thanks for help!

Thus the reason I wrote this article,

For Use with Rotary Buffer Only - Read the Directions

    With these pictures among others....

My guess is you can take really bad paint and make it look better using this product with the Flex 3401 but my other guess is if you took flawless black paint and used this product in the same way you'll see micro-marring.

The the point being that if a product micro-mars black paint it micro-mars all colors of paint it's just you're eyes can't see it.

Now that you have a great tool I'd highly recommend getting some great compounds and polishes and maximize your results as well as your time and energy.

The Meguiar's Twins are very good, I'd opt for M101 over M105 for a dual action polisher. M205 is great on harder paints but less consistent on softer paints.

Check out any of the compounds and polishes from,

Pinnacle - This is what Wayne Carini uses in his shop so you're in good company.
Menzerna - Great compounds and polishes.
Sonax - Great compounds and polishes
Wolfgang - Great compounds and polishes
    Optimum Compound, Polish and Finish

That's the short list... hard to screw up anything with the above.

I'd get the M105 before using the M01

I cut my teeth using the traditional Mirror Glaze products back in the day and back in the day they were the best products on the market. Just now days Meguiar's newer formulas tend to work better in all dimensions.

I need something with a little more cut! I tried it out and it's great for one steps but right now I'm looking into two steps systems thanks for help though!

Ok so should I order m101 and cancel the detail I had for today or should I go get m105?

I'm in the process of returning Meg's #01 right now so that's out of the equation...

Go get the 105. When you use that up you can switch to 101--don't cancel a paying detail, it will make you look flaky.

    Understood, and totally agree!

In this situation, I'd grab the 105, and do the business. You can also order the 101 later if you like. I haven't used the 101 yet, but based on the very positive feedback, it's something I'd like in my inventory.
