Re: Chemical Guys Jet Seal Matte
Agreed, pretty disappointing. CG might need to take a lesson from Poorboy's\CarPro on customer support.

based on CG website, the Jetseal matte is "Great for matte paintwork, wheels and vinyl finishes"

Re: Chemical Guys Jet Seal Matte
My mistake, I see Andrew already stated that. ^^

I had the same experience you had OP.
it dried rather quickly but I waited the 20 minutes until I removed it. The excess product did come off but it left behind a chalky kind of finish. As if the product leaves something behind and totally changed the color of my matte black vinyl stripe to a grayish almost bluish finish. Very weird. I used some of their meticulous matte sealant (the liquid spray detailer for matte finishes which I love btw) and took most of it off.

It doesn't get it all off tho. It's weird on the video you can't really see anything it looks the same as before he applies the product so you don't really see what the finished look is suppose to look like. We have nothing booked this Thursday so if it's quiet around the shop I'm going to cut a piece of vinyl and try different things with this sealant. At one point we were applying it and immediately removing it right after. But we were still having the same issue with it not coming off completely.
Their customer service does need to put more effort in. AG has great customer service as well as Carpro. Corey always takes the time to get back to me with an appropriate answer to any question I ask about Carpro products.

Re: Chemical Guys Jet Seal Matte
Just a guess here Andrew but did you try any options of waiting even longer than the 20 mins. before buffing off? Just a shot.
When i was using Zaino years ago i could wait as little as 20-30 mins. for it to buff off nicely and then some days it would take in excess of an hour and a half before it was ready. And early on i would get streaks before dialing in the set up time. I was convinced it was a function of the weather

Re: Chemical Guys Jet Seal Matte
I'm going to do this for everyone here ready? I found a decent sized piece of vinyl I'm going to tape it in sections and try to go from immediate wipe off. To an hour of sitting and wiping off. Just need to find some where to place the vinyl sheet.

Re: Chemical Guys Jet Seal Matte
Ok I found a spot for it but I only have enough vinyl to go up to 35 minutes. I'll post pictures once I'm done.
