Re: Menzerna - New Names and Product Numbers

You really don't want FF3000, that's an older technology product, stick with the 3500.

What do most people use for a 2-step process? Keep in mind I am familiar with Meguiars Ult Comp/Ult Polish or 105/205 combo so looking for something compatible to match that.

Obviously each car is different, but looking for something that works on most conditions.

Heavy Cut Compount 400, Followed by Final Finish 3000?

And then your LSP of choice.

    Thanks!

EDIT: I just saw on the AG product page for Heavy Cut Compound 400, the below:

So followup with 3500 might be preferred over 3000?
The corresponding analogy to 105/205 would be FG400/SF3500 or SHC300/SF3500. HOWEVER, Menzerna uses diminishing abrasives as compared to 105/205's SMAT technology. The adjustments you need to make in your technique shouldn't take too long, and IMO the difference will be noticeable. A good 1-step would be FF3000 or MC2500 followed by your LSP.

As to LSP's of choice I have several. Klasse SG has my favor in 2016.

400/3500 is the way to get started with Menzerna.

3500 has enough polishing ability in it to clear up whatever was performed in the first compounding step while finishing up LSP ready.

Absolutely agree with Mike above. 3500 is stunning after 400 and i think a huge contributor to that is how well 400 finishes down if worked right.

Is the 3500 the same as the old SF4500?

    No.

SF3500 is the old SF4000. SF3800 is the old SF4500
