I never spray OPP onto the surface. I just use a MF app. Spray it onto the app and then wipe the surface.

Same. I've got a couple of mf mitts that are perfect interior applicators.

I also don't spray OPP directly on the surface. I was just wondering if it was supposed to spray in a wider pattern to have better coverage on the applicator with one squeeze of the trigger... but I can live with the way it is.

I don't like spraying products like this directly on the surface anyways. So for this reason, the spray certainly beats pouring or squeezing product out of a bottle IMO.
