    D151

I purchased a gallon of 151 and must say that it has worked well on a few quick cleanups I have done recently, my question is about its thickness out of the container. This stuff is THICK! I have a hard time transfering it to a smaller container and an even tougher time getting it out of the squeeze bottle onto the pad! it is nice though because I rarely got any sling from it but man what a workout squeezing this stuff out of the bottle! Even it says to shake well but trying to shake it doesn't do much since it is thick.....

    Is this normal for 151?

Yeah its really thick stuff, I put it in front of my halogen lights while I shake it or leave it in the sun, getting it warm helps thin it out.

    David,
I picked up a gallon of the D151 as well for some production detailing work. What are you using to apply to your pads with?

    Re: D151

I put mine in a regular squeeze bottle. The transfer is tricky, but given how thick the D151 is, I can usually control it. I thought I saw somewhere a spout for the 1 Gallon containers, I think it was a product SKU like MDSpout

    Re: D151

I bought a 32 oz. sample of D151 and was dissapointed with it. By hand and by machine it just didn't play right with me. It is too thick for my liking and didn't spread very well.

I'm looking for a one step sealer and cleaner and I'm looking at Finish Kare 215 and XMT 360. Hopefully these two will fare better with me than D151.

I put a nozzle on the gallon jug and transfer it to a flexible squeeze bottle similar to what beauticians use. The flexable bottle makes it easy to apply to the pads

D151 is a great product. I've been using it for over a year solidly now and love it. Correction is good and the protection is decent. I now use it with Megs new synthetic spray wax.

It's the best one stepper out there for me.

Those bottles work good but i have found some 8oz squeeze bottles at Walmart in the cake decorating section that are extreamly flexible.

    Re: D151

I like the D151 for a one stepper. I usually buy smaller than the gallon size though as I do not have the volume for a gallon
