    Re: Help choosing pressure washer

I bought the Ryobi 2800 PSI(honda engine) with IDLE DOWN from Home Depot. Love it!!! The IDLE DOWN feature is AWESOME!

I actually just ran across that ryobi today and it is a pretty decent deal at HD. I do like the looks of the briggs one but would be likely to believe the honda will give more reliability and probably run quieter. The only thing i am having trouble with is that all of these have virtually the same pump which is a sealed axial pump(non commercial) where as i can get an actual commercial unit with either a General or Cat pump (rebuild-able and have oil reservoir where i can maintain them with oil changes ect.). for 800 instead of the 500ish that i was looking at for the above units. I guess i am just unsure if the sealed axial pumps will hold up for years of use being used almost every day for 1-3 hours.
Go with a CAT pump or similar. Don't bother with the Ryobi's for everyday, long term use.

    Re: Help choosing pressure washer

I own a Briggs & Stratton. It's going on 3 years old now but works just as good as new. I use it a bunch and it never needed any kind of maintenance. Great unit.
