    Rupes UHS on clear coat?

Has anyone used Rupes UHS & matching pads on clear coat? Lexus to be exact. I want to try it but thought I would ask the pros here first. It is the metallic white paint & was repainted by dealer under warranty about 3 years ago. Paint is in good shape but has some minor scratches & light swirls.

I used it on this 09 Corvette. Worked very well for a 1 step. Are you going to be using it with a Rupes tool?

yup I use with Rupes 21es UHS and UHS pad.

Works great for both Soft paint and hard paint as one step.

I used the UHS on a 2011 Lexus in pearl white. Can't recall if it was starfire pearl or opaline pearl. The car had the driver side fender, and door repainted. Customer wanted the orange peel wet sanded. While the painted panel had a harder clear coat, I was still able to correct the swirling from the wetsand and buffing step on those panels. The rest of the car was extremely easy with the UHS system. The oem clear coat was on the softer side so it was a breeze. The only thing that was difficult about this particular car was finding the swirls. Light colors sure do love hiding defects.

I love the UHS system! Very smooth and easy to polish with! It's not made for heavy correction but does have a decent cut. Leaves the paint very glossy! I have used it with both Rupes 21 and Flex 3401 systems with success!

At a Rupes event I attended last Saturday Jason Rose told us that Uhs can and should be our starting point.
If you need more they do have blue fome and yellow and blue microfiber pads.
He only recommend the green in situations when the paint is not cooperating.
This is what I heard clearly in his presentation..

So blue foam over green foam for initial cutting/compound when UHS can't get it done?.... I was gonna order some green pads to use as my main cutting pad on my 15 mk2 followed by yellow
