Re: Review - CarPro Cquartz Leather Coating

I was wondering ... is there any way to moisturize coated leather?

If coating blocks moisture from getting into the leather it’s also blocking moisture from leaving the leather.

Is it ok to use a leather conditioner before applying CQ leather? Looking at using pinnacle conditioner first on new leather, before applying. Or is it even needed on new leather?

No. You want to use either one but not both. The coating needs to bond to the surface without anything interfering.

Thanks. Similar to my paint, the dealer apparently applied some coating. However that would have been probably 6 months ago or more given what I know. My guess is that’s gone, but I was planning to just use a leather cleaner first like Gyeon Mild.

Prep is key when applying a coating to paint, wheels, leather, glass or any surface to receive a coating.

Follow the directions on the cquarts leather box and you will be fine.

Coated the seats in my 99 Grand Prix. These are the original seats.

Not the best lighting but the seats will darken a little bit after initial application.

Re: Review - CarPro Cquartz Leather Coating

I used it on a boat for a customer 2 years ago.
Did his seats and all plastics.
Last week the boat came to me for some polishing and noticed it's still holding up.
To be fair though he doesn't use it often and it stays inside.

Very good and easy to use.
