Are you using pre production LC HD pads?

Cause I have a KB exact fit 5 1/4" backing plate. It's not a perfect fit. 5 1/4" is a little too big for the 5" velcro on the LC HD pads. Using the standard Rupes 5" backing is much better fit since actual measurement is 4 7/8".
There is vast amounts of knowledge at your fingertips, use Google, Youtube, and the search button.

Nope just the final versions. Mine fit great with no problems.

I know these pads are designed for large throw machines, but can they be used successfully with a PC? TIA

They probably could, but I wouldn't see any real advantage to using them, in fact I think a standard pad would probably work better due to sizing.
