    Failed Review - BlackFire Content

So, this was supposed to be a review of 1Z Anti-Insekt. But, you will see what happened.

I'm not usually one to "clean bugs" off my car. I'll just wash the whole car. But, the bugs are as bad as they are going to get here in PA - although I know they aren't Florida bugs. My car was pretty clean - it was just plastered with bugs:

***Disclaimer - this is all on the clear bra, which I know isn't perfect. The white you see on the edges is the edges lifting - not wax. I'm not super concerned about the clear bra not being perfect, as it's a protection device that is easily replaceable. It looks fine from a few feet.

So, knowing how this will go (water will get somewhere I don't want it to get)... I decided to first pressure wash the area using DI water opposed to tap water:

Last week I applied another coat of BF MS to the whole car, including the clear bra:

What I found after pressure washing was, none of the bugs stuck to the BF MS. No Anti-Insekt was necessary. They just flew off. 98% of the bugs and guts were gone. All I had to do was grab some waterless wash (GDIUDJ) and a towel and wipe off 2 tiny spots...

After pressure washing - no wiping or chemicals used:

Then, I also learned a long time ago that wiping black cars dry will show marring that is visible. So, I always use DI water and dry with air:

    Finished...

So, the moral of this story is PA bugs don't stick too well to BF MS and no chemicals or even soap was required to remove all the bugs. Also, I highly recommend anyone interested in detailing with a dark car to look into getting some type of DI water set up, a Master Blaster and/or a Sidekick. It really makes things easier and gives you better results with less work.

Some of not all of them leak some amount of air around there. Its just the way it is. Mine does it too.

Beautiful review Steve. Looking good. Thanks for putting it together.

Keep that 1Z on hand if you decide to drive at Autobahn speeds. Lol

It leaks air as was stated. I made mine air tight. It doesn't look too good - bit I'm not the type to sit home polishing and displaying tools - I actually use them. I'd rather have it sealed up air tight than looking like it just came out of the box.

Just because the Sidekick leaks (at least mine does), it's still an indispensable tool and a great buy for 80 bucks or whatever. I was lucky enough to get mine for free from an AG member, but if it broke I'd buy a new one in a second - I use it constantly.

Great review! Looks like the wax really likes your clear bra.

Have you notice any small stain that should have remained? This would be much more noticeable on white paints, but may happen on every other color as well.

I must believe this not happened in your case because of the clear protection...

Just in case, I'm using this a lot more than ever:
Safe Scrub & Polishing Towel, microfiber towels, detailing towels, polishing cloths, bug removal towels

Pre-soak it, and use after washing / rinsing like you did.

I use it combined with CG Bug/tar wash, some small passes of it equals hundreds of scrubbing with a conventional mitt. Worth a try.

Even combined with your Insect Remover - to be reviewed ahahhaha
