    Solution Finish

I had a sample of this and a VW Routan with extremely faded plastic. I applied it today so I can't speak for durability, but from here, I'll just let the pictures do the talking.

*Plastic was thoroughly cleaned with Surf City Garage Pro APC before the before pictures were taken.

    Before:

    50/50 (bottom done):

    Done:

    Upper grille before:

    Done:

Done but notice how on the bottom middle it is not perfect. In the before, you can see there is more damage in that area however.

And a finished fog light cover:

And as a side note, I finally found a water-based tire dressing that lasted through heavy rain. I won't list it by name because AG doesn't sell it, but it is the one that looks like VRP from Chemical Guys' sister company.

    After the rain:

50/50 to show newly applied vs. the slight fade from the rain:

Very nice results with this product!
    Thanks for sharing.

I used it on the Wife's Jeep last Summer (2013).
IMO: Still looks great (middle of May, 2014)...
Even after an unusually protracted Ohio Winter-season.

Seems like solution finish may be up to giving DLUX a run for its money.
    It's all in the details

It is neat stuff. Used it on a faded cowl on my Kia Sorento and was impressed.

    Re: Solution Finish

As an update, about a month ago, it started to fade pretty badly on the lower portion I put solution finish on. It's not as bad as it was initially, but I definitely need to go back over it. The top part of the grille still looks good, but does have a bit of fading going on. Fog light covers still look decent too.

Is this product hydrophobic or is it just more like a dye?
Nothing has been able to compare to DLux in my opinion.

    Re: Solution Finish

It is definitely a dye, no hydrophobic properties at all.

    Re: Solution Finish

I apply Ultima Tire & Trim Guard Plus, tire & trim protectant, tire dressing, rubber protectant on top of Solution Finish for added protection/durability. Works like a champ!
