paint not smooth after 2 weeks of c quartz
So 2 weeks ago and 2 washes later after applying c quartz uk i run my hand on the car and
it just dont feel very smooth. I dont know if this is normal for a coating. I know after waxing my cars they feel very silky smooth. When i first applied the coating i thought it did.
This was my process.
washed and clayed, polished with fg400 then washed with detailer auto bath.
and then did an eraser wipe down. I did not use the reload because i did it in my garage
and left it there for 2 days so i wasn't worried about water hitting it. I assume they tell
you to use it in case water hits it. I am just hoping that i got off all the oils from the polish
and the coating did adhere to the car. Any suggestions or comments?

Did you wait a week before washing it as advised?

I just applied CQuartz (not UK) myself yesterday and it does not feel smooth. But if CQ is anything like Opti-Coat as far as "feel" goes, I would say it is normal. I have OC on the roof of our van and it has never been waxed every since I applied OC and it feels "tacky", not has "tacky" as the day I applied it but the tacky feel that nothing is on it but it is there, the water beading/sheeting shows.

Well Reload does add "slickness", there are even a lot of OptiCoat users who will occasionally use CarPro Reload to add slickness to OC. Since you have the CQUK kit, you may as well use it.

I will try it but how long does the slickness last?
I could be wrong but if the paint dont feel slick then i feel like contaminates can stick to the car.
