Review: 4.5 years of Opti Coat (Update) with videos

Hello there all of you detailing geeks, I must say that I have learned a lot from this forum, from techniques for product applications, and not to forget tons and tons of professional review posted.

Now being living in a country with tropical weather, where it precipitation and humidity is average high all years, pairing with hot sun is certainly not fun when it comes to keeping your car in good shiny status. Watermarks form easily in this kind of weather. What I am going to show is my ride detailed and Opti Coated since 2009, and maintained by me myself weekly using ONR or OCWash, and if I have time I will top it up with OID too. When the condition permits, I do also use waterless wash like Opti Clean just to clean up the light dust.

The entire car is Opti Coated including side windows and rear windscreen. The front windscreen was recently stripped and re-coated with Opti Glass Pro. Windscreen is usually cleaned with DP Glass Cleaner/Pinnacle Glass Cleaner/Opt Glass Cleaner along with Cobra Glass Towel. I will just switch each cleaner by week.

And finally, any comments and critics are welcomed. Thank you for your time and patience.

Firstly, a shot of the engine bay. I admit it wasn't entirely sparkling clean as it shows. The trims and engine cover are protected with Opt Leather Protectant.

And a frontal capture... Not too bad for a 4.5 years

    A side reflection shot

    Over the top

Any comments or critics are appreciated on the reflection and condition

There are 3 cars captured in the reflection

My washing bucket with grit guard and Opti Mitt still in there

Wow! I've been thinking of putting Opti on my ride and I think you just convinced me to go that way.

Not sure how to attach videos, but this is the video URL. It shows how the water rolls off with me using a Makita Blower.

Thank you for your kind words. I certainly would continue to go with it with my next new car.

    Beautiful car.
    Excellent gloss.
    Pillar shot is very artistic.

How many miles (km) on the vehicle?

    Thanks for the update

Very nice. Are you in the Philippines? Why are you using Opti Leather on your engine plastics? Car looks great for 4.5 years without polishing or sealing.

Looks good. Got any videos of the water beading/sheeting? Curious to how it reacts after 4.5 years.
