Re: Optimum PolySeal quick thoughts
Is that a blue LC CCS pad? I would have thought white might get you a little more bite without sacrificing finish quality.
Also, contrary to what some people post on various forums, poli-seal sucks on plastic trim.

Yellow. Then orange.
Yeah, but easily removed with ONR or OCW.

After Optimum Car Wax & Optimum Tire Shine
Temps were dropping as the daylight ebbed. I've got 8 stitches in my mouth and decided to pack up. Most deeper waterspots and etchings remain. All in all , customer is pleased so far.
Noon today: 2 hour light interior and windows, top off tire pressure, change out seat covers then done.

Re: Optimum PolySeal quick thoughts
Good to see a reciew on what OPS can do. I've never used it before and don't own any. From the photo's and from what I have in my arsenal I'd have chose DG 501, or XMT 360 on a yellow or orange pad. If I get some OPS I could add that to my list of choices. Seems like it done a nice turn around.
Notice your fingers somewhat reflecting in the photo with the leaf. As a teaser, the roof I've been working on had zero reflection...nada.
Nice work Vegas.
By the way, I thought that looked like an Automagic bottle and sure enough it was. What's the skinny behind that? Do you use/like any of their stuff? Shoot me a pm if you like.

Re: Optimum PolySeal quick thoughts
I ordered some cheap mf's from AM along with the bottles last year. I also have several gallons of AM products from Vegas collecting dust. My truck and RV bi-level brushes came from there too.
OPS and 360 are comparable. I like OPS better because I top with OOS, OCW, or both. The 360 is collecting dust.
Usually I would add PolishII or OHP to the pad, but the tinted clear shows heavy early stage cc failure throughout the vehicle.

Nice work Vegas.
Bummer on a black vehicle. At least the vehicle is tall enough that if you go for a cc respray, the lines would be less noticable due to the height.
Thanks!

-With the detailing time-frame allotment you were given; the paint's 'condition';
and your Customer's budget restraints...
-I believe your decision to OPT {FUN-PUN (?)} for Poli-Seal, as your AIO, was an excellent choice!!
(Plus, not to overlook, OP-S': Compatibility-factor...with your other Optimum products.)
-Thanks for sharing another one of your detailing-gems, VT!

Re: Optimum PolySeal quick thoughts
Mike has several quotes concerning the one step aio issue for those new to detailing.
Don't make much sense pushing full correction$ to those that neglect their vehicles.
This 1995 is in rather good shape for its age being outside 24/7... just one too many 1 bucket 1 rag, periodic drive-by crack-head washes.
Picked up a Lex window tint removal, headlight recon., swirl and etching correction for 10 am. The only bad thing is I have to be out there before dusk.
There's a lot of nice people in the hood looking for mobile. I really dig retirees - big cars , big pockets.
