first bit is ok but wait 15 mins after application of third coat before buffing with a cotton cloth and the g2 residue remover.
Ah man i wish this had been posted up yesterday when I applied it. All good though, seems to be doing its job very well in the last 24hrs of light rain here.
So far I'm a advocate of your products. Thanks.
G1 will last 40K miles: GTechniq G1 Windsheild Treatment
Had almost 50K when the vehicle was totaled but it was still effective.
40k miles? I work from home and don't drive my car that much which is a shame, but thats another story, but if I drive 5k miles a year it should last 8 years? I would think that time would also be a factor too. Nevertheless it does sound impressive. But it doesn't rain much here in vegas so I don't need this product, but I think its cool to have a product that is that great. I'll have to check out their wheel protection product.
I've had G1 on my windows for a few months now. Windshield was well cleaned with the gtechniq glass polish prior to G1. 3 coats were applied to the windshield. Problem I'm having is beading off the glass is incredibly slow. Almost like the beads are sticking. Anything below 50mph or so I have to use the wipers. I've watched many of the available videos on G1 coated glass and the water flies off much faster than on my car. Any suggestions?

Interested to know if this works with the auto rain censor wipers on my new Audi. Not sure how wipers know to turn on when windsheild is wet, but don't want to lose that function by coating windsheild....

The coating will not impact the rain sensor functionality.
The glass that is monitored by an optical sensor which uses an infrared light that is reflected off the windshield. A clear windshield will reflect all light back whereas when raining, the light become distorted, thus activating the wipers.
