It's sounds like they have very similar results. What I like about the Gtech is there is no hurry up, you can do one window or the entire car one window at a time. With the aquapel you break the tube and go, if you run out, you are done if you are or not. If it takes a second tube, the Gtech isn't expensive anymore.:props:

What is recommended to clean the windshield after G1/G2 application throughout the year? Should only soap/water be used to clean the windshield? Would putting Stoner Invisible Glass Cleaner over the top it hurt the application?
Re: Review w/Video - Gtechniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass
Stoner IG will work fine for cleaning.

any glass cleaner will be fine - nothing other than cerium oxide polish will remove g1

Although G1 may well be able to cope with glass cleaners, in the last few years I have found that 99% of the time, simple soap and water will clean the glass

The timing of this is uncanny because I bought this about 3 weeks ago and haven't tried it yet....After reading and watching I'm looking forward to seeing what this product brings to the game over a long hard New England winter.....:props:
Thank you Nick!! :dblthumb2:
Re: Review w/Video - Gtechniq G1 Clear Vision Smart Glass
I did all the glass on my tC last week with the G1 and I have mixed feelings. I polished the glass with DP glass restorer then cleaned with IPA very well before applying the G1 to remove any waterspots. The glass was very clean and spotless. The G1 applied and removed very easily. I did 3 coats on the windshield and 2 coats on everything else (I think this car has more glass than paint). Three days after applying I drove the car and it started raining. The water just flew off the glass, I didn't need wipers at all. I was very impressed! But before I got home it stopped raining and the water had dried on the glass and left spots all over. I tried cleaning with Stoners IG and even tried some vinegar but the spots are still there. I was really hoping the G1 would help keep spots from forming since this car is going to be my daily driver and I can't go dry it off every time it rains. I know I can get the spots off with the DP GR but then I am back at square 1. I guess I am just stuck with spots.
