    Quick detailers vs spray wax

What is the difference between a spray wax and a quick detailer?

Quick Detailers are designed to "clean" the paint. Remove light dust, finger prints, smudges, bird poop etc. Their also used as clay lube.

Spray Waxes on the other hand are just that, Spray Wax. Usually used to maintain your current LSP in between waxes. For example you would use spray wax after every wash if you wanted, in order to have that "just waxed" look everytime by boosting your existing LSP.

I would suggest not just relying on how the manufacturer names them since there is overlap between detailers and spray waxes. For example, Optimum Car Wax is more durable than some spray waxes.

Here's a tip, the Sonax Brilliant Shine Detailer has been shown to outperform some spray sealants. I read a comparison test over at a UK detailing forum. I've bought it but it doesn't feel slick like other quick detailers.

Does V7 count as both? I know some don't consider V7 to be a qd as they do not believe that it is a cleaning product, but cg advertises as a product that cleans and protects and has youtube vids saying the same thing.

Anyway, like uww+ as a qd then v7 for some additional shine. But I always wonder about v7 doing the job of both.

Hydro is a great drying aid. If you like those types of products, give hydro a try.
