Re: New Formula Optimum Polish II Impressions...

Is Finish Polish needed if you use the new Polish II?

thats a weird question to ask about a product that has only been out for a couple months .

Have you noticed any issues with previous OPT products to be asking this ?

    i'm just curious.

The shelf life is good, but we recommend buying any product in an amount you'd use in a year. After all, you're not really saving money when buying larger sizes if its sitting on the shelf 2 years down the road. Also, we always update our formulas as new tech becomes available so we offer paste polishes in 8oz-32oz-128oz and spray polishes in 18oz-64oz-128oz so that you can buy a size that suits your needs.

Polish II will finish perfectly on 95% of the cars we do...but only the softest paints should need finish. It's one of those products that I keep around in smaller quantities, just in case.

So if you are on that 5%...and want to use a spray, does the Hyper Polish bridge the gap? Or do you use GPS? Or is there a sprayable Finish coming?

I'm not sure that Hyper Polish would finish any better than Polish II, but GPS is the only "spray" option for a finer finish than Polish II or Hyper. You may try to continue with Polish II on a finer foam pad...but you were wanting to finish off a paste with a spray, so...Finish is pretty thin...you may be able to spray it, I just haven't tried.

Or was this whole question just a ploy to get me to drop upcoming product info? LOL

No, not really, just trying to understand. I don't have any of the new lotion polishes, and I wasn't really intending to buy any, but I was thinking of picking up the sprayables when rest of the MF pads come out. In the lotion you've got compound/ polish/finish...but in the sprayable you've only got compound/polish/...? I know someone mentioned sprayable Finish a while ago, I don't know if they were kidding or not.

Is it redundant/inefficient to do Polish II + PC LC Orange followed by Poli-Seal + PC LC Orange?

Yes, redundant. Use a polishing or finishing pad(depending on paint hardness) with Poli-Seal.
