P&S Absolute Review

I’m posting this via Tapatalk so let’s see how it goes.

P&S Absolute Rinseless Wash

P&S recently launched their version of a rinsless wash into the growing market of rinsless products.

The Rag Compay titled their video game changer which definitely hyped up the product. I refer to them as the TRC hype boys. They get caught up in their own hype. But they are not the only ones who do.

After watching their podcast with Dave Phillips who os the chemist at P&S, he goes into depth on the fact that this product was designed from the ground up utilizing chemicals not used in the industry. Which in fact is game changing for P&S as they never had a rinseless wash. In the grand scheme of rinsless washes it’s not game changing.

It’s a good product and does exactly what it is designed to do. Which is clean the paint safely.

On my video I decided to put it side by side with ONR as many are questioning if Absolute is better than ONR. The answer is no. They are more equivalent would be a better way to say it.

The attribute that is going to win people over is the slickness it leaves behind during the drying process.

Overall it is a good product. Is it game changing? No.

Would I recommend it? Yes.

Should you throw all your current stuff out? No.

When your current stock dwindles down consider Absolute as an option. It is just as versatile as many rinseless washes on the market.

I like that it's slick. Might try it next year, my N914 will be getting low by that time.

The Guz I know you use a lot of rinseless but do you have a favorite?

Also I see you using the sponges a lot. Are they your go to now?

At this moment in time I do not have a favorite. All the ones that I have used simply work and they all do a good job.

It is the most efficient method and they have always been my go to. I just showcase multiple towels as people like to see that method as well. Good for starting up as well. But the sponge is the way to go.

Nuff said. I always appreciate Mikes no nonsense, tell it like it is, honest opinions.

And this corroborates my initial suspicions that Absolute is just another rinseless wash draped with ridiculous hype.

Hey, Mike. Thanks for the great review. Since you mentioned you noticed definite slickness while drying, does that mean that Absolute leaves something behind? I don't see how it could feel slick without it leaving something behind. And if it does leave something behind, I'd be concerned about whatever is left behind interfering with the bonding of my sealant or wax.

What are your thoughts on this?

Thank you,
Joe

Here’s the thing and I moved away from this as a focal point because it does not matter. Don’t worry about anything that may or may not be left behind as these rinseless washes are not designed to leave protection behind. The same can be said for a traditional soap.

Feel free to do a panel wipe if it’s that much of a concern. Any solvents in the wax or sealant will do the job.

If you want something that leaves something behind then invest in a one that is ceramic infused which will leave protection behind.

re: P&S Absolute Review

I got my bottle Sunday afternoon and washed the car in the garage later that night. I experienced the same thing you did, very slick wipe off, very thick product, and no streaking.

I would rate it a tick above onr but that is a very small tick! I look forward to using it more in the coming weeks and months as I store mine in a 5 gallon bucket of distilled water with a gamma seal on it loaded with MF towels…always ready!

re: P&S Absolute Review

Great review video Guz and those looking for a RW that leaves behind protection AND cleans, CarPro Ech2o is THE choice! Adding about and ounce and a half to 3 gallons of water is my ratio and it's another one of those products that will ALWAYS be in my collection. Now using it as WW can be tricky and by tricky I mean getting the ratio right because it's probably going to require a buff, it's a thick consistency P&S Absolute Review
