It is a term that refers to ceramic. SiC is a silicon carbide infused ceramic coating. You will have to ask the CarPro chemist.

How does Pure compare to SiC? In looks?

Thank you for your thorough and impartial reviews. I always watch all of your videos. Have you tried topping Pure with Cancoat? Is it even worth it? I have an old can of Cancoat (saw your video on the new vs old). Debating applying Evo or sticking with Cancoat for Midwest winters.
Looking for insane gloss on red and protection to last 6 months to a year.

Thanks.
I did apply CanCoat over Pure as I was reviewing both products.
Review - Gyeon CanCoat Evo
Since you are looking for 6 months to a year then CanCoat is a great option. It will easily get you that. Pure is going to give you that longer lasting protection.
CanCoat on top of Pure does look good. It will enhance the look of it. If I were to do it over again I would do 2 layers of Pure and then CanCoat as a yearly maintenance topper.

2 layers Mike!?
I'm going with 2 layers of cancoat as soon as the rain stops.

Yes a second layer of Pure adds additional gloss.
I have never done 2 layers of CanCoat. One is plenty for it.

Hmmm. I really like what I see on my car with one layer. Now I'm starting to wonder if I should do a decon wash, wipe down, and apply another layer.
