Rag co Gauntlet 20x30 MF drying towel

The Rag Company Gauntlet 20x30 Microfiber Drying Towel (autogeek.net)

Ordered a pair of them last order. Used one this morning. Great looking towel. Soft. Decent weight. Perfect size for drying. Bigger is not always better. Should not be a issue for the washer when it's time to wash them. Figured this will be a average drying towel. I was wrong. LOVE this towel! After a flood rinse, it only took one to dry the whole truck. Drank the water up like a magnet. Soft. No marring. I will not hesitate to order more of them. Just think i found my perfect drying towels.

I have 1 of those exact towels. Completely agree. It’s almost surprising how much it can dry considering it’s size and weight.

I have a lot of these as well. Wish I wouldn’t have bought so many before trying them out. They are soft and built well, but they don’t dry like twisted loop does for me. I have to either use a drying aid sprayed on the towel to help it glide or apply pressure while “swipe” drying. I feel it does well at blot drying though. The chipmunk from Microfiber Madness is very similar FWIW.

Have you tested this against the Griots PFM? If so, how did it fare?

I’d say it’s a step below, mainly because it just lacks the weight and therefore the PFM could go longer. But as far as that initial dry it has no problem being comparable. It’s a good drying towel.

Hard to pick between the 2. I have a PMF too. Too close to call.

For me, PFM (Sucker & Speed Master Notorious) runnin circles around Gauntlet. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very nice towel and I have 6 of each size but I don’t reach for them first.

I also have the Speedmaster notorious in the 26 x36 size. WOW. That thing is a beast! Swear it would pull rain from the clouds. Only issue i had with it is it's too big and heavy when wet. Thru my new washer around like a empty beer can when i went to wash it. So have to hand wash it in a bucket and hang dry. Don't think i ever saw a towel so absorbent or heavy when wet!
