Re: Product Review: Wolfgang Si02 Paint Sealant
I played with the 845 some more last weekend and yesterday. I tried to give it a week, wash, then I added another 845. It went on, but there is some sweating. Nothing too bad, but it could continue to sweat into the week and that wouldn't be desirable. My Wolfgang will arrive tomorrow and I'm going to polish one of the other cars and throw it on. I'll keep track of how long it stay slick in comparison. I haven't seen anyone comparing any of the new stuff to the 845.
Once I get to the point that the Si02 needs a spray topper, does Wofgang make anything that is supposed to go over it?

I have a running comparison test here:
Wolfgang SiO2 Paint Sealant versus Traditional Sealants - Test!
The *seemingly* best topper from WG would be Wolfgang SiO2 Spray Sealant:
Wolfgang Uber SiO2 Silica Spray

It would be alright to use a different SiO2 topper? By the way, excellent comparison thread.

Thanks. And yes, you should have success with just about any spray topper that doesn’t call out needing a bare, prepped surface.

I put some down last night and I am blown away. It has a great look and it is very slick now. I was going to buy some of the CarPro cquartz; I think I'm going to wait a bit.

I too was blown away with its performance. From its ease of use and wipe-off to look of the finish is incredible.

Guys I’m curious if this product can be layered? If so, how long do I need to wait between coats? Thanks!

I’m sure it can layer, it’s a finishing sealant. I just can’t guarantee any positive results after two coats. Wait 24 hours inbetween if possible.

Re: Product Review: Wolfgang Si02 Paint Sealant
I have used 3.0 for years. I'm thinking of trying this newer version out. I detail after weekly washed with Deep Gloss Spray sealant. can i still do that with the new SiO2 sealant vs the 3.0?
Also I read above about applying fusion over it. I do that with 3.0 now for years. What will I gain or loose by doing this on top of SiO2?
Finally my other thread mentions some questions about prep. I see OP used the spray prep. I usually use Wolfgang polish before I use 3.0. Once in a while I use swirl remover. Would I still use the spray prep after the polish when I'm correcting my paint before seal or does the polish take care of the prep spray. I'm not usderstanding the roll fo the prep spray when most would polish to remove old wax first anyway. I might be totally wrong here.
Thanks,
jim

How does this Wolfgang Si02 spray sealant compare with Blackfire Si02 spray sealant?
Or is it just the same product?
