HD Speeds immediate short term gloss is pretty remarkable.
Can you use D166 in the sun?

Re: HD Speed still a great product

So I decided to do something I pretty much never do... I polished my car with an AIO, HD Speed just now. I needed to see for myself and the only way to get a true gauge of a products results is to use it on your own ride and test the results so I did.

This is how my car looked today before doing anything to it.

Bucket wash with Megs Hyper Wash. Dried with a Cobra Guzzler. No drying aid.

Here’s what it looked like post wash.

    Ready to polish.

    Lets rock.

I polished the whole car allowing it to haze for a total of 50min. Here it is with the HD Speed hazed and ready to wipe off.

Time to see if HD Speed really lives up to the hype...

Holy cow... It really does look noticeably shinier. The gloss it off the charts!HD Speed still a great product

Super impressive shine factor. Now I’m interested to see how long it lasts...

Side note: Condensation started to come down making wipe off a PITA... I decided to switch to a small PFM towel to see if it could possibly do any better... OMG it did amazing! Cut right through everything like it was nothing. I’ve seen they have specific wax removal PFM’s and if they’re somehow better than what this PFM does for removing wax/sealants then they’ve got to be the best towels in the world! Blown away at how good these towels are.

    Thx for reading.

Nice surprise to see something get shinier when you didn’t think it could.

I’m a huge fan of PFM towels. Best drying towel I’ve ever used hands down. I gotta see if their glass towels can eliminate hazing once and for all. The hazing drives me nuts.
Treat it like it's the only one in the world.

Wow...nice results. I am also inclined to give HD Speed a shot. Have been using McKee's 360 and have been pretty happy with it, but want to compare it to HD Speed. How was it to clean your pads after using HD Speed. I find with the McKee's, the pads can be a bit of a chore to get clean.

I’ll let you know when I clean them tomorrow morning, but iirc they clean up pretty easy.

if you get more than a couple weeks durability, you're doing pretty well.

In my experience, 360 durability has FAR better longevity than Speed. Not even close.

I will say that this is true for anyone relying on an AIO for stand alone protection.

However, most (if not all of us Geeks) will top any AIO. This is where I find the durability argument mute.

Speed is a little easier to wipe off, and a lot easier to clean out of your pads in my experience.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.
