The Buffing Moose Detailing: Carpro Tar X Mini 5 Star Review

    Quick story:

I arrived to my clients home today to a 2-Step.

    EVERYTHING was going fine until:

I REALIZED, “I DON’T HAVE MY CLAY BAR!!!”

I looked through my kit and thankfully always carry Tar X on me. Mind you...

I original bought Tar X for adhesive and tar removal.

But what I neglected to do was to read the label and to notice that it states it can reduce claying time (however its worded).

So I sprayed it onto the paint and LITERALLY in less time than stated the contaminants loosened up like nobody’s business...

Carpro Tar X BAILED ME OUT!!

I couldn’t believe what I was experiencing. It left the surface in an amazing condition in order to proceed with polishing. While I will make sure I will have clay next time, this was awesome.

The paint prior felt like sand paper FOR SURE!

The results were amazing (picture) will be posted soon.

    Stay tune.

    Cool post, Dan.

CarPro makes good stuff, that's for sure.
It is no coincidence that man's best friend cannot talk.

A great tar remover can do magic on the paint. It's a great step in a decon wash too. Depending on the alkaline product I use when decon wash I do 3 steps. First PW the paint thoroughly and let the water run off some or going over it fast with the leafblower and no need to get super dry lol. Then spray a tar degreaser with a pump sprayer bottle on the side panels and the back of the car not over the windows. Let it dwell for as long as possible. Then without rinsing it off foam an alkaline TFR foam over it on the whole car and let that dwell for 5min. Then thoroughly clean with the water pressure from the PW from bottom up. Again blowdry with the leafblower and then apply an ironx product and rinse off when dwelled enough. Check so the ironx product has worked effective with testing on the most bleeding parts again if it still bleeding. If so I do the ironx product again and maybe wipe it some to release the iron particals. If it's a neglected paint a claying may be needed. Mostly it's only needed to clay before a polishing step. Otherwise a 2bm wash with carpro reset or a soap like that. Then dry the car and apply a fresh coat of the LSP or a topper.

I am glad this post expanded your knowledge.

I will make sure to have clay going forward because I can’t afford to do this all the time.

But like I mentioned, it paid to read the manufactures labels etc. It kicked in at the most perfect time.

    Oh one more thing...

I just want to make sure everyone reading this well into the future understands this applies to only Carpro Tar X.

I have no comments for any other tar remover.
