I completely agree. Megs and LC MF pads do offer a bit more cut but the boss pads are easily the smoothest MF cutting pad that I've tried and when it comes to contours the Boss pads are easily the best option. Unfortunately I bought a dozen before they updated the foam interface. I still love them but like Zach said the lack of durability w/ these pads can really add up in pad cost. Especially when you consider how durable the LC MF cutting pads are.

I'll be interested in hearing how the new foam interface on the BOSS MF pads holds up for you. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us Mark!

I believe these have the same, or similar nap to the original Buff and Shine Microfiber pads.

One of the reasons I like the B & S mf pads on the standard 8mm, is because they don't mat down, are easily cleaned with a brush, and cut like a banshee.

I have the Griot's fast cut microfiber pads on my "to buy" list. They don't have a foam interface, but do have that excellent microfiber material.

Hey, thanks guys, I've only used the Meg's and the old LC yellow MF pads, I didn't know there were some that didn't mat down.

I agree about the older BOSS pads coming apart around the edges etc. The upgraded ones seem to be holding up great.

Cool. Can you tell a difference in firmness of the foam compared to the old ones?

A little bit. But the color of the foam changed ever so slightly.

Too bad that these pads are not available in Europe.

I feel that way about some products in Europe.

These pads provide no energy polishing. Seriously.
