    REVIEW: McKee's 37 Sio2 Auto Wash

Well as most of you know I live I'm the hot desert of the Mojave and it's hard to use most any product without it drying on the surface fast. Nick told me that this would not be hard to remove if it dried to the surface (yeah I've heard that before) so as always in an effort to find the best products that allow my to detail to my best ability in my hot environment I gave it a go.

I foamed the whole car which btw is covered with McKees hi def Paint sealant and it is holding up nicely after months, the driver's side front fender does have the new mckees paint coating and is covered in waterspots that McKees waterspot remover couldn't remove after 24hrs of sitting (baking).

I let the foam dwell for about 5 mins before I began to rinse it off, you can see in the pics of the foam on the car, rinsed and then the result after it was dried with griotsgarage PFM.

Well I can say that this is the best soap I've ever used in foam form. Even after it dried it not only cleaned very well with little agitation to clean the car but it needed no scrubbing to remove the dried on soap (didn't scrub some spots just to check) so so far this does great in the sun and lower heat (about 90°) looking forward to a summer with it.

For reference every Chemical Guys soap I've used and allowed to dry was almost impossible to remove.

    Meg's soaps we're spotty

    Griotsgarage was also spotty

Carpros was a nightmare to say the lease, very similar to Chemical Guys

I absolutely love this soap. Works great and has yet to leave spots even with hard water in full sun, 95+ deg heat.

I received mine last week and I’m looking forward to try it. I poured from the gallon into a small bottle and noticed how thick it is. Almost jello like. Smells great. Should work well on a car just coated with McKee’s new formula.

Thanks for the review. Been meaning to ask you about it.

The simpler thing would be to get a smaller car so you can zip around it quicker in the desert heat lol.

I have the Prius as well, and I'm still not fully sold on the whole foaming thing but if I were to get into it then this would be soap...so far. It's just hard to mentally deal with using 2-3oz for one wash

Like you I have had Reset spot in the sun so I know what you mean about that. It just cleans so well especially on coated paint. McKee's SiO2 looks like a good alternative for those hot and Sunny California days. I will eventually give it a go.

    Re: REVIEW: McKee's 37 Sio2 Auto Wash

I've used McKee's 37 Sio2 Auto Wash twice now when doing a 2BM wash. I like being able to wash the entire vehicle and wait until the end to rinse instead of rinse after each panel. It doesn't have the lubricity of Reset or Optimum (my other 2 favorites) but it did a good job cleaning the surface.
