My Subaru started out with slight oxidized Headlights - but the kit took care of the issue without missing a beat.

Kit comes with everything almost everything your need:
McKees 37 Headlight Restoration Kit



  • 3" Backing Plate for your drill
  • 3 1/4" Wool Pad - Lake County
  • Headlight Polish
  • Headlight Protectant Spray
  • Microfiber Applicator
  • Microfiber Towel 16 x 16


You will need to provide:

  • Wet Sand Paper (1200/2000 grits) & Water Bucket
  • Drill
  • Painters Tape
  • APC - I used LA Totally Awsome


Steps are super easy to get great results:

  1. Tape off area around headlight to protect paint and headlight edges
  2. Drop Sand Paper into water bucket
  3. Clean Headlight with APC
  4. Wipe Dry
  5. Wet sand headlight with 1200 grit (I went across the light on this step)
  6. Wipe off excess water
  7. Inspect for deep scratches / hazing = You want to see smooth but hazed and whitish lenses
  8. Wet sand headlight with 2000 grit (I went vertical across the light on this step)
  9. Wipe off excess water
  10. Inspect for Clearer lenses - much less whit but still haze
  11. Insert Baking Plate into Drill & Velcro Wool Pad on
  12. Apply 3 drops of polish to wool pad
  13. Spread onto light with Drill stopped
  14. Polish Light by moving drill over light at various speeds
  15. Wipe off Polish
  16. Repeat Steps 10 - 13 until happy with results
  17. Clean with APC
  18. Wipe Dry
  19. Spray Protectant directly onto Headlight
  20. Wipe with Microfiber Applicator across headlight to spread Protectant
  21. Wait 2 minutes and buff off with Microfiber Towel
