Re: Anyone try the new Rupes microfiber pads?
I loved the first version, and yes, I'll absolutely be using their new version. I have a mountain of the blue and yellow to last me for a very long time too!

Anyone try the new Rupes microfiber pads?
I just ordered a pair. Jason Rose had a lot of input of how these were made(unlike the previous generation), so I'd guess they're going to be an improvement for sure. I'd put money on it.

I like them better than the old ones that's for sure. They hold up way better and just feel like better quality in the hand. The backing feels stronger too.

I bought 4 for my 15MKII.. I don't detail for a living so I really only tried them out on my own car so far. I'm surprised I still have clear coat left with the amount of new pads I have tried on my hood.
I swear they even finish better but that may just be in my head.

LOL...same with my. I'm constantly testing my products on my car. I bet they do finish better. Rupes picked up Jason for good reason.

The old ones were good on flat panels but sucked ln concaves unlike Megs. Do these contour better than the old ones? Also will they make them for nano too?

No, they contour the same.
I attended an advanced training class in Ohio, with Todd, Dylan, and Chip last Wednesday, and the new pads were being used to remove sanding marks.
I ended up getting a few, but haven't tried them out yet.
The cutting pads are reminiscent of the megs offering, and the polishing pads are very unique unto themselves - super soft.
The training was absolutely one of the most fun things I've ever done! I drove down with a couple of close detailer friends from Pontiac, MI... We had a blast!
I forgot to ask of they would be available for the Nano. I imagine they would, but the wool pads will be available in all sizes.

Dan, so you've never actually used the new Rupes MF pads?
