Re: Jescar Micro Finishing Polish (+ special guests) - Review

Great review as always Angus!!! Those pictures and GIFs are amazing.

So you mentioned that the SF-3500 was oilier than the Jescar finishing polish, did the SF-3500 provide a glossier surface as a result? Or did the 2 finishing polishes provide very similar gloss?

Have had an eye on the jescar stuff. Once my sf3800 runs out I may purchase it.
Thank you for the kind words, Justin! You'll like using Jescar MFP!! I'm certainly impressed by it.

Thank you! I'm not sure about MFP being water based or not - good question though. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in?

Good point - I had forgotten SRC is purple too. I should try Jescar MFP with some white pads to see if they get stained or not.

Great question. Since I only used Jescar Correcting Compound in a few spots, it's hard to say sure but based on how well it cut and finished down I'd say it's closer to Menz 400 then either BF SRC or Wolfgang SR. I never used Menz 2500 before. I should have stock of all 3 (plus a few others) so if get change to do a side by side Jescar > Menz > BF > Wolfgang comparison I will and share the results with you guys.

I wondered about this as well and forgive me for not highlighting this better in my review: yes the final results Jescar MFP vs Menz SF-3500 test were basically the same. I couldn't tell any difference in the level of gloss. Great question.

Well then less effort in removing it makes it a winner!

I forgot to add that to my comments earlier. Agree. Really like the GIFs, and I believe this is the first time I've seen them used in a review here.

Very nice review. My biggest issue with Menz was having to wipe excessive residue off.

Absolutely, Marc! Less effort to remove, also means your towels stay cleaner for longer, and you move faster from section to section.

Thank you! I always try to make sure my reviews are interesting/ worth your time reading. The ability to use Gifs helps with both points!

Excellent review! I was like, I didn't press play on any video!?!? and then realized...GIFs. WAY COOL man!!

    Nice results.

Love how you can SEE how easy it is to wipe off the Jescar. The polish is similar in color to Ultima's Final Polish, and from what I recall it, too, was easy to wipe off.

Jescar Micro Finishing Polish (+ special guests) - Review

Thanks for the review!!!! I liked the gifs too! Nicely done. I enjoyed using the Jescar products also and they pair perfect with the new HDO pad line also. One thing to remember while comparing the Uro-etc line in comparison to this is that they are apples and oranges. Our blue pad is only a light cutting pad, while we utilize the HDO microfiber for heavy cutting. The Uro-tech line uses a more coarse blue foam. Jescar compound works great with the microfiber cutting pad because it is very low in oils etc. The HDO blue pad is perfect when matched with the compound for light defect removal. It works phenomenal as a polishing pad with the microfinishing polish too. I just wanted to make sure there was some clarification since I wouldn't classify the two pads compared as similar in any way really.
