As far as him having a bad day? I'm sure that was the case because during that time I phoned Meguiars maybe 3-4 times in a span of a couple of months and would always get the same guy on the line, and for all the great customer service I've experienced with Meguiars, this guy was exception. Dude was rude and argumentative with me every time. For example I once called because I had some questions about their tire products and at the end I simply asked him with 1 of the 2 had been released 1st/which 1 was the older product, and he replied "why do you care about that"? It's funny now, but it p***** me off when it happened...

Another time I called and got the same guy. I asked if it'd be ok to use D180 Leather Cleaner & Conditioner on my rubber weatherstripping, his response was "why would you use that on the weatherstripping"?! Which lead to me saying "well you can use it on leather, vinyl, plastic and was just curious how it would do on the rubber" He got all mad and recommended I use M40... Then I said "well I don't have any M40, what about Hyper Dressing"? His response was so funny because I could hear it in his voice that he was about to try and scold me once again, but he stopped himself and said "yyea, I guess you could use that"

He was a young kid, and I'd be surprised if he still has the job. If I was in charge and heard him speaking to customers the way he did to me I would've fired him a long time ago.
That's unbelievable, I often wonder how these people even get past the interview process. You would think that the person in charge of hiring that guy would have read his body language and knew what kind of person he really was.

I'm curious about outcome of your phone call, hopefully you get all the info your looking for!

Not too long before that time Meguiars had posted a memo about them looking for people to hire for customers service positions. I sent a detailed email letting the man in charge of customer relations know that I was interested but never got a reply... My guess is this young kid got "hooked up" with the job by someone he knew which would explain how he passed the interview process even though he was a bad fit for the job. Oh well...

I could care less as long as it looks good and lasts. Some of these tire products last 1 rain drop

Interesting I'm a big fan of both the Gel and the Spray. The Gel on flat side tires is amazing. I have used to spray on jeep tires and its worked well.

I have a coat on my wife's tires right now and it's been driven in a fair amount of rain this week, we will see how it goes when it's washed for Mothers Day and I will report back to the group.
